Gateshead's infamous "Get Carter" Car Park (so-called as it had a starring role in the cult film "Get Carter" staring Michael Caine) is due for demolition. The top levels have been closed to public access for many years but Councillor Jonathan Wallace was allowed to go to the top of the building to film it and the views. So here's the video.....

NO NO NO!!! Leave it alone!! Just imagine it painted white or green or something? That's all it needs to make it look abit more attractive! You'll be destroying a part of history! And quite frankly, if it's replaced with a glossy glass and steel tescos that will never age gracfully, then knocking it down is completly the WRONG desision!! It needs love not a bulldoser! :(
