Action call on slippery problem

Residents are calling for action to improve the two flower beds on the entrance to School Lane in High Spen. They have complained they are a mess and they are looking to the council to carry out their promise to improve the situation. Unfortunatley, the council are are now saying they will take no action.

Meanwhile berries dropping shrubs onto the paths there in the summer and autumn are creating a few slippery problems for elderly residents in particular. Councillor Brenda Osborne and local campaigner Andrew Graham are pressing for action. "We want no slip ups this time!" said Brenda.
